Fr. Mesrop Aramyan

Priest, Theologian, author of spiritual and cultural projects

I was born in 1966 in Yerevan and am a graduate of the Yerevan Physico-Mathematical School and the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology.

In 1991 I was ordained a priest of the Armenian Apostolic Church.

In 1991, I founded the “Gandzasar” Theological Center.

In 2002 I founded “Vem” Spiritual and Cultural Radio Station.

In 2006, together with a group of friends, we created the “Ayb” Educational Foundation.

In 2010 I became the producer and the script author of “From Ararat to Zion” documentary film.

In 2011 I am the author of the “Ayb” School (“Araratian Baccalaureate”) educational program and the Founding Chairman of the School’s Board of Trustees.

2019 I am the author of the new-Armenian translation of St. Grigor Narekatsi’s “The Book of Tragedies”, which was published by “Vem” Educational and Cultural Foundation.

The ideology and activities of “Amrots” are dedicated to rethinking and preserving the Armenian identity. I am glad for the opportunity to join and contribute to this important mission.

I was born in 1970 in the city of Kapan of the Republic of Armenia.

Graduated from the Moscow Aviation Institute, the Department of Cosmonautics and Automation of Flying Machines. In 1993, I completed my graduate work and started post-graduate education at the same Department.

In 2000, together with like-minded people, we founded the “Coffee Cantata” company, which, as a chain of specialized tea, coffee and sweets stores, is the industry leader in the Russian Federation.

After the 44-Day War, the danger of losing the statehood became tangible for Armenia. Living far from the historical homeland, you feel a deeper responsibility towards it. I am sure, that our Found will contribute to strengthening of the statehood foundations.

Arthur Zurabian

Entrepreneur, philanthropist

I was born in 1985 in Berdavan village of the Tavush Region of Armenia.

In 2010 I graduated from the Moscow State Technical University named after N.E. Bauman with a degree in “Gas Turbine Engines and Combined Units”.

In 2012, I received an MBA degree from the RANEPA Higher School of International Business.

I have 15 years of business experience. During this time, I founded a number of companies in various areas of Russian business, but the main successes were related to the field of transport logistics.

After the Artsakh war of 2020, there was an opportunity to join the team of high professionals working to strengthen national and Christian values through “Amrots” Foundation. For me, it is a great honor and a good opportunity to make my modest contribution to such a big and responsible cause.

Manuk Hergnyan

Economist, Venture investor

I was born in 1975. Studied at Yerevan State University, Moscow State University (Ph.D. in Economics) Oxford University (Executive MBA).

Founder and CEO of “EV Consulting” business consulting company, which has recently merged with “Civitta” international consulting company. Co-founder and CEO of “Granatus Ventures” – the first venture capital firm in Armenia. I am a Board Member of a number of public organizations, including the Union of Advanced Technologies Enterprises, “ARAR” foundation.

The “Amrots” Foundation was born as our collective response to our painful defeat in the second Artsakh war.

Nune Magoyan

Sociologist

I was born in 1967 in Yerevan. I studied at Yerevan State University (philosophy and sociology), Manchester University School of Social and Economic Sciences (MSA) in Moscow, Georgetown University in Washington and Turin University in Italy (MMD).

I have led teams in private, state and international organizations, lectured at secondary professional and higher educational institutions.

I founded an interdisciplinary research and consulting company in Armenia (1994), and MAGOYAN CoNexus Enterprise (2016) in the Swiss Confederation with specialization in proposing and management of leadership development, professional coaching, consulting, mediation and research.

Together with like-minded people and friends, I participated in the founding of a number of public and professional organizations, including: International Union of Armenian Jewelers (1997), Switzerland-Armenia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (2012), I am actively working  on introduction of international professional coaching in Armenia (since 2014).

“Amrots” inspired me to take individual and group responsibility, to conceive far-reaching plans for national development and to implement them with honor, investing my experience and knowledge in order to achieve lasting results.

Karen Simonyan

Karen Simonyan

Economist

I was born in 1980 in Yerevan. Graduated from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations.

In 2004–2019 held senior positions in a various mining companies in Russian Federation.

The importance of personal achievements fades when a real, deep awareness of duty to ancestors and the Motherland awakens, when you realize the responsibility to the future generations, when you come to the understanding that only through unity and real actions, without relying on someone else, we will be able to fight back the challenges that have matured and became reality.

Participation in this project is a great honor and a unique opportunity to make a modest contribution to the creation of new meanings and aspirations for our nation.

Aram Pakhchanian

Entrepreneur, education expert

I was born in 1968 in Yerevan. Graduated from the Yerevan School of Physics and Mathematics, then from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology.

Since 1993, I have been working at ABBYY. I took an active part in the creation of the company, its development and entry into international markets.

In 2006, together with friends, we founded the “Ayb” Club and the “Ayb” Educational Foundation.

In 2014, I moved to Homeland to head “Ayb” School, while remaining Vice President of ABBYY.

In 2014-2020, I was the Executive Director of “Ayb” School.

I am the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the “Ayb” Educational Foundation, a member of the Board of Trustees of the Central School of Dilijan Educational Foundation, a member of the Board of Trustees of the Monte Melkonyan Military School Foundation, the Chairman of the Board of the One Voice Armenian Association of Independent Schools, and a member of the Advisory Board of Granatus Ventures.

The challenges facing Armenia are interrelated, and the way to overcome them is to strengthen the nation, without which there will be no strong statehood and civil society. The nation is uniting around real, meaningful and development-oriented values, and the Amrots Foundation’s activities are aimed at strengthening and disseminating them. It is a great honor for me to take part in this beginning.

David Pakhchanyan

Entrepreneur, philanthropist

I was born in 1970 and am graduate of the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology and Higher School of Economics.

I am the founder of several companies, and used to be the head of Aerosib for many years.

In 2006, together with my friends I founded the “Ayb” Educational Foundation, and at various times headed its Board of Trustees or was a Trustee of the Foundation and the “Ayb” School.

In 2014, together with my friends I founded the “Arar” Foundation, and currently am the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the “Arar” Foundation.

From June 2016 to June 2018 I was Deputy Minister of Defense of RA – Chairman of the RA Military-Industrial Committee, then, until March 2019, Deputy Minister of Defense of the RA.

I believe that the challenges facing Armenia require efforts from a caring citizen primarily in three fields: security, education and strengthening the values on which the country of our dreams should be based.

Eduard Atanesyan

I was born in 1974. Graduated from the Yerevan State University, Department of International Relations and completed the postgraduate studies at the INSS of the RA MoD.

I have 25 years of work experience at Artsakh and the Republic of Armenia the state bodies, as well as at the fields of analytics and private sector.

We need to do our best for our Fund to make a significant contribution to the development of national values and become an example for similar initiatives, uniting like-minded people in the Republic of Armenia, Artsakh and elsewhere around the overarching task of ensuring the life and development of our nation.

Aram Safaryan

Entrepreneur, PhD in Economics

ADVISOR, FORMER DIRECTOR OF THE FUND

I was born in 1977 in Yerevan. Graduated from Yerevan State University and continued my education at the Moscow State University.

The last 16 years I had been working for the Chinese Huawei telecom company in Moscow.
I decided to return to Armenia and join the Found’s Team, since only through the development of the national values, I see the possibility of survival and development of our nation and state, and only personal participation can contribute to the restoration, strengthening and prosperity of our country.
