“Tsil” (“Germ”) 2023 Competition
This year also “Amrots” National Development Fund organized the literature contest within the framework of “Tsil” (“Germ”) Young Authors Support Program. This time the Contest was held among young talented people aged 16-18, who could choose any of the proposed nominations: “Prose”, “Poesy” or “Essey”. The suggested topics were: “The Great and Small World”, “War and Peace”, “Nostalgia…”.
Applications for participants began on April 10. In total 62 applicants participated in the Contest, and 28 of them passed to the second stage – the Interview. After getting acquainted with the works, the Jury – poet, publicist Armine Nazaretyan (chairperson), novelist Mher Israelyan and poet Gor Harutyunyan – having evaluated the works of the “Tsil”: 2023 participants decided to award them with:
- 3 1st class prizes,
- 5 2nd class prizes,
- 11 3rd class awards, and
- 9 encouragement awards.
This year also the participants received cash prizes. Additional “Special Award” was established and granted by the members of the “Tsil” Community.
The summing up of the event and the Awarding ceremony took place on July 8. After considering the results of the contest, the participants were granted the opportunity to join the “Tsil” family, which was established after the event of 2022. As a result, this year the Community was enforced by additional 23 members.
The Interview stage and the Awarding Ceremony took place at the Yeghishe Charents House-Museum on June 10 and July 8, respectively. Taking this opportunity, we would like to express our gratitude to the Management and the entire Team of the House-Museum for their kind attention attention and comprehensive support provided during the organization and holding of the events.
