Special competitions

In addition to the annual competition, the “Amrots” Foundation periodically organizes one-time creative and research competitions that promote national thinking, linguistic thinking, and the revaluation of identity.

“Ideaword” Contest (2024)

The goal of the competition was to “find word-ideas stemming from the issues on the national agenda” that express the idea of ​​relying on collective strength and demonstrating the greatest will for it. 300+ applications were submitted to the competition, of which 238 met the established criteria.
Although the jury did not find a word that fully met the established criteria, the top three idea words were awarded prizes:

1″Ogezen” – Ishkhan Gevorgyan
2″Patriot” – Elen Avanesyan
3″Free-spirited” – Ara Saroyan

Ishkhan Gevorgyan transferred his prize fund to the organization of the same name, which contributes to the establishment of a comprehensive defense and security system in Armenia.

“Handwritten Homeland” Competition (2024)

This competition is one of the special initiatives of the “Tsil” program, within the framework of which the age limit has been raised to include more mature participants. The goal of the competition was to encourage young people to explore and redefine their homeland through researching the history of their family tree (at least two generations).

The competition entries were evaluated based on criteria of literary quality, research soundness, and ideological depth. The winners:

2. Inga Tumanyan
3. Sofi Hakobyan

The competition concluded with a discussion of the challenges of reading, writing, and thinking in Armenian, and participants included linguists, ethnographers, historians, and young creative minds.
