Special Competitions within the Tsil Program
In addition to its annual literary competition, the Amrots Foundation occasionally organizes one-time creative and research-based competitions aimed at promoting national thinking, linguistic creativity, and the re-evaluation of Armenian identity.

“IdeoWord” Competition (2024)
The goal of this competition was to identify word-concepts derived from key issues of the national agenda—terms that embody the idea of collective strength and the will to uphold it.
The competition received 300+ submissions, of which 238 met the set criteria.
Although the jury did not find a single word that fully met all the competition’s standards, the top three “IdeoWords” were awarded prizes:
“Voghezen” – Ishkhan Gevorgyan
“Hayrenater” – Ellen Avanesyan
“Azatatanch” – Ara Saroyan
Ishkhan Gevorgyan donated his prize fund to an organization of the same name, which works toward the development of a comprehensive defense and security system in Armenia.
“Handwritten Homeland” Competition (2024)
This competition was a special initiative within the Tsil program, expanding the age range to include older participants. The aim was to encourage young people to explore and reinterpret their homeland through the lens of family history, tracing their lineage back at least two generations.
Entries were evaluated based on literary quality, research depth, and conceptual insight. Winners:
Lana Melikyan
Inga Tumanyan
Sofi Hakobyan
At the competition’s closing event, participants, including linguists, ethnographers, historians, and young creatives, discussed the challenges of reading, writing, and thinking in Armenian.
