“Tsil” (The Sprout) is a flagship initiative of the Amrots National Development Foundation, dedicated to building the future through the Armenian language. It is a world designed for youth—a space where identity, art, and innovation converge. By uniting teenagers from both Armenia and the Diaspora, “Tsil” provides a unique platform where the next generation can express their boldest ideas and aspirations in Armenian, using the power of the written word and the arts to join a vibrant, active community.
Sprout in Armenian" — A Creative Platform for Youth
The heartbeat of this initiative is the “Sprout in Armenian” creative competition. Following its inaugural launch in 2022, which drew over 250 applications, the project’s overwhelming success established it as an annual landmark event.
We believe creativity is multidimensional. Here, thoughts come to life through text, illustration, and visual imagery. “Sprout in Armenian” invites you to represent the Armenian language in your own unique style—regardless of where you live in the world or which dialect you speak and create in. In addition to our annual flagship event, we frequently host specialized, one-time thematic competitions.
